Think simple. I just ordered carnation boutinerres with greenery/baby’s breath for an occasion that were $2.50/each. A rosebud may be a bit more but not a lot. Guys all taken care of. Bridesmaids: Have them carry one long-stem rose or one of whatever pretty flower is in season at the local grocery store, Wal-Mart or other store that carries flowers. Go to a craft store and buy a roll of ribbon and tie the ribbon yourself. You could do the same for the moms and grandmoms. For the flower girl, do a few flowers, tie them with a ribbon. You can probably manage it all for about $50 bucks.

Another great idea is to ask friends and family who they know who has flower gardens and would cut a few fresh flowers for free for your wedding.

OR…check outdoorsy areas and see where wildflowers might be growing naturally that you might be able to cut a few for your wedding. Cost: FREE

Fake, I'm telling you, silk is the way to go. I had an outdoor wedding myself and used silk flowers in the bouquets, bouteneres, headpieces and archway. I used real petals for the flower girl to toss of course, I didn't want to have to have somebody pick up a bunch of fake petals and also for a few other places. I wanted some very expensive and out of season flowers and getting silk ones and handtying them was so much cheaper and they looked great you can't even tell in the pictures they were fake. Another plus is that it will be so much easier to save your bouquet if that's important to you. If you insist on real flowers you can always go to the flower shop a few days before the ceremony and seeing what they have in stock that's in season and will be cheaper than having to find and ship flowers.

how abut using parasols or feather fans? another possibility is origami flowers that you make yourself

Sometimes you can get a deal if you have them shipped (orderd online). Downside is that you won’t see them until your wedding day or the day before, and there’s no guarantee that they won’t be wilted.You can limit the number of flowers used, for example, have ‘maids carry just one stem. Then, choose to decorate your tables with something else. Wrap them in baby’s breath if you want a fuller bouquet.

I agree. I hate fake flowers. Check your local grocer as well …sometimes their floral departments can do a good job.

Try looking at the cut flowers at walmart or other stores that carry cut flowers.See if you can find the arrangement you like,cut the stems back and tie with some type of pretty ribbon. Same for the guys,pick a carnation or rose bud for their tucks.You can also buy some ferns to place around the church or wherever you decide to marry at.

Word to your mother…..
no go to the antelope superstar and they have all the flower you need for your antlelope- chupacabra wedding. 60 buqets are for 30 bucks. enjoy your time there.
